Buried in Death. Raised to Life.
We believe baptism is a gift of God and a sacred act of obedience for all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38). It is a sign of our union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4), marking our entrance into the life of discipleship and our belonging to the people of God. We are baptized into Christ and into His Body, the Church, visibly identifying with Jesus and His family (1 Corinthians 12:13). Baptism is more than a mere symbol. In it, God meets us with His grace, reminding and assuring us that we belong to Him. Yet baptism itself does not save or cleanse us from sin; salvation is by grace through faith alone. We practice baptism by immersion as the clearest picture of dying to sin and rising to walk in newness of life.
